Allo stato dell'arte le potenzialità sono ancora maggiori: si pensi solo alle trasformazioni 3D, alle API di basso livello per accedere a funzionalità come accelerometro di device mobili. Costruire un car configurator come applicazione completa in tutte le sue parti non è un lavoro banale e non sono a conoscenza di un progetto open source per gestire tale complessità.
